My name is Sophie Maclean and I am a 19 year old Politics Student at The University of Edinburgh. I enjoy writing about politics, current affairs, popular culture and the like, so I have created this site as a portfolio of my work.

Having dipped in and out of blogging over the past few years I have decided that I want to take writing more seriously and talk about the subjects that really interest me. I am currently writing freelance for Unite Students as a Student Content Producer and as a writer and editor for SugarHoneyIcedTea, the blog that I have founded.
Unite Students is a leading student brand and student housing company and each month I am asked to respond to questions, briefs or general topics to produce content that may be shared and promoted by the company.
